Lori Kristen Kelly's
about
Lori Kristen Kelly spent her childhood in San Ramon, California making up ditties, poems and stories inside of her head. As a child, she only liked reading the books with rhymes, and she has used that style of writing for her stories ever since.
Lori is a strong believer in self-love, self-acceptance and self-esteem and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016 from John F. Kennedy University. She spends much of her free time volunteering and working with others who struggle with emotional issues. She believes children can learn to develop positive self-esteem if they are properly shown how to do so. She hopes that her fun, unique and enjoyable stories can help children learn to love and accept themselves for exactly who they are, and deal with situations appropriately as they come up in life.
Lori has lived in California, New York City, Athens, Greece and Milan, Italy. She now lives back home in California. She has one daughter, Sienna, who was her inspiration for many of her stories. Lori and Sienna came up with the name “Donkey Ducks” one morning, eating breakfast, when Sienna was only 5 years old. The name has stuck ever since.
